EXO collaborations with other artists, from group tracks to solo gems

EXO’s musical world extends well beyond the group’s core albums. Across SM Station releases, soundtrack singles, solo projects, subunit records, and international campaigns, the members have worked with vocalists, rappers, producers, DJs, and artists from several different markets.

Some collaborations are widely known, such as Baekhyun and Suzy’s “Dream” or Chanyeol and Punch’s “Stay With Me.” Others appeared as digital singles, special-stage recordings, or songs credited to a member rather than EXO as a whole. This guide brings those releases together in one organized reference for EXO-Ls.

The list focuses on officially released songs where an EXO member or unit has a clear performing role. It includes Korean and international releases, while excluding ordinary producer credits, remixes without new EXO vocals, covers, and one-time stage pairings.

EXO as a group

EXO’s most recognizable group collaboration is “Dancing King,” a 2016 SM Station single with entertainer Yoo Jae-suk. The track was created for the variety program Infinite Challenge and paired EXO’s polished performance style with Yoo Jae-suk’s playful stage presence. Its live performance remains one of the group’s most memorable special appearances.

The group also participated in music connected to major film and brand projects. “Lightsaber” was released in association with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, while “Power” later received an official remix by Dutch DJ and producer R3HAB. These releases are often mentioned alongside EXO collaborations, although “Power (R3HAB Remix)” is best understood as a reworking of an existing EXO song rather than a new feature.

For a strict artist-to-artist list, “Dancing King” is the clearest full-group collaboration. Many other notable partnerships belong to EXO’s individual members or subunits, where the members had greater freedom to explore different genres.

Vocal collaborations and soundtrack favorites

D.O.’s “Tell Me What Is Love” with Yoo Young-jin is one of the earliest and most important EXO-related duet projects. Released through SM’s digital music series, the song combines D.O.’s soulful vocal delivery with Yoo Young-jin’s distinctive R&B style. The track helped establish D.O. as one of the group’s strongest interpreters of classic soul and contemporary R&B.

Chen has built an especially extensive collaboration catalog. His songs include “Lil’ Something” with Vibe and “Bye Babe” with 10cm, both released through SM Station. He also joined Dynamic Duo for “Nosedive,” a restrained hip-hop ballad that highlighted the contrast between Chen’s clear high register and the duo’s conversational rap.

For television soundtracks, Chen and Punch recorded “Everytime” for Descendants of the Sun. The bright duet became one of the most successful K-drama OST songs of its era. Chen also worked with Jonghyun on “A Day Without You” as part of SM The Ballad, and sang the Chinese version of “Breath” with Zhang Liyin.

Baekhyun’s best-known duet is “Dream” with Suzy. Released in 2016, the relaxed jazz-pop song became a major digital success and earned recognition for its natural chemistry. His other major pairings include “The Day” with K.Will through SM Station and “Young” with rapper Loco, a sleek electronic-pop track built around ambition and self-belief.

Rap, pop, and performance-focused projects

Chanyeol has frequently moved between idol pop, hip-hop, and electronic music. His duet with Punch, “Stay With Me,” became a signature Korean drama OST through Goblin. His international feature on Far East Movement’s “Freal Luv,” which also includes Tinashe, placed his rap and vocal parts within a global electronic-pop production.

He later joined DJ and producer Raiden for “Yours,” featuring Lee Hi and Changmo. The song brings together four distinct styles: Chanyeol’s rhythmic delivery, Raiden’s production, Lee Hi’s warm vocals, and Changmo’s rap. It is one of the clearest examples of an EXO member participating in a multi-artist collaboration rather than a conventional duet.

Xiumin also stepped outside EXO’s usual format with AOA’s Jimin on “Call You Bae,” where he appeared as the featured vocalist. His SM Station song “Young & Free” with NCT’s Mark offered another youthful, upbeat pairing. Kai’s “Confession” with Yoo Young-jin took a more dramatic R&B direction and emphasized the contrast between Kai’s textured vocal tone and Yoo Young-jin’s established soul sound.

International and cross-market collaborations

Lay’s solo career has produced several notable partnerships outside the standard SM ecosystem. He appeared with Steve Aoki and will.i.am on “Love You More,” connecting his Mandopop audience with a major electronic dance music release. He also worked with Alan Walker on the “Sheep (Alan Walker Relift),” which reimagined one of Lay’s solo songs through Walker’s atmospheric production.

Another significant project was “Let’s Shut Up & Dance,” a global dance single featuring Lay, Jason Derulo, and NCT 127. The release was built around an international performance concept and brought together artists from different parts of the pop industry. Lay’s multilingual career makes these projects an important part of EXO’s wider international footprint.

Chanyeol’s “Freal Luv” belongs in this category as well. The collaboration with Far East Movement and Tinashe demonstrated how an EXO member could participate in a Western electronic-pop track while retaining the rap-focused identity associated with his solo work.

Subunit collaborations and featured appearances

EXO-CBX’s releases are largely self-contained, with Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin carrying the vocal and performance arrangements themselves. Their albums contain few outside features, so their most relevant collaborations appear mainly in separate solo or SM Station projects.

EXO-SC, however, made featured artists an important part of its sound. The duo’s first full album, 1 Billion Views, includes “Telephone” with 10cm, the title track “1 Billion Views” with MOON, and “Say It” with Penomeco. Each pairing changes the color of the record: 10cm adds a breezy acoustic quality, MOON contributes a smooth R&B presence, and Penomeco intensifies the hip-hop edge.

These songs also show how Sehun and Chanyeol developed a distinct identity apart from EXO’s group discography. Their collaborations lean into rap, laid-back grooves, and conversational songwriting, creating room for guests to function as musical counterparts rather than brief cameos.

How to explore the collaboration catalog

Listeners who want to trace EXO’s partnerships by mood can start with these paths:
